OVALmedia is an international and engaged team of journalists, filmmakers and authors dedicated to bringing independent, topical, non-biased media coverage to the wider public. With many years of experience in documentary film production and external offices in France, Italy and Hong Kong, we are able to cover the complete process from inception through to distribution, allowing high levels of creative freedom. We are rapidly expanding and to support this growth we require the immediate assistance of a Graphic Designer with an interest in independent media and innovative projects.

What you'll do
-Follow design briefs to conceive /create visual identities for our brand/s
-Close collaboration with our Marketing team to continuously develop corporate identity and visual assets
-Create dynamic visuals for branding & marketing purposes across multiple platforms and media: print, video and digital
-Conceive, plan, and implement compelling content for various projects
-Create illustrations, memes, videos, gifs, around our digital campaigns
-Analyse and edit information and translate it into engaging and compelling visual narratives
-Creative research and active participation in brainstorming sessions with the Creative and Marketing team
-Assist and support various stakeholders graphically on a wide range of projects
-Create a database of assets for digital channels, print, internal and external communications
-Maintain and manage external and internal websites
-Design and manage the production of corporate branded material and project specific \
-Constantly aim to develop your craft, maintaining an interest in emerging formats and trends within digital media and video production
-Occasional writing and editing of content
Skills & Experience
-Demonstrated ability in producing compelling and creative visual concepts for both online and offline platforms and media.
-Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator (After Effects and Premier are a plus)
-Overall understanding of basic marketing principles with respect to web design, including SEO
-Thorough understanding of the creative development process, graphic design, web, digital and prepress, including layout, typography, colour, composition and retouching concepts
-Working knowledge of php, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
-WordPress development experience
-Copywriting, Social media, Email Marketing experience are a plus
-Demonstrated ability to multi-task and maintain attention to detail in a high-volume, active, and deadline-driven environment
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (German, French, Italian and/or Spanish are a big plus)
-Basic video editing skills are also a plus
Qualifications
-A bachelor’s degree in Communication Design, Media Design, Graphic design or comparable field
-3 + years of professional experience as a graphic designer (in an advertising agency or in-house creative department is a plus)
-A strong portfolio of work
