OVALmedia is an international and engaged team of journalists, filmmakers and authors dedicated to bringing independent, topical, non-biased media coverage to the wider public. With many years of experience in documentary film production and external offices in France, Italy and Hong Kong, we are able to cover the complete process from inception through to distribution, allowing high levels of creative freedom. We are rapidly expanding and to support this growth we require the immediate assistance of a Web Designer with an interest in independent media and
innovative projects.

What you'll do
-Follow design briefs to create stunning websites
-Take ownership of projects and execute all visual design stages from conception through to development
-Utilise UX/UI best practices, as well as data and analytics in design decisions
-Collaborate closely with the web development team to ensure the website comes to life as envisioned
-Collaborate closely with digital marketing team to ensure the design supports conversion goals and digital marketing strategies
-Create and maintain a database of design assets
-Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and sitemaps to communicate interaction and design ideas
-Present and sell designs, and key deliverables, to peers and executive level stakeholders and clients
-Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
-Occasional writing and editing of content
Your Skills & Experience
-Demonstrated ability to take a project from concept to launch
-Thorough understanding of UI/UX principles; working knowledge of UI platforms such as Sketch or Adobe XD
-Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
-Overall understanding of basic marketing principles with respect to web design, including SEO
-Working knowledge of analytics including Google Analytics preferred for A/B testing
-WordPress development experience
-Knowledge of HTML, Javascript, and CSS
-Social media and email marketing experience a plus
Your Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Information or Computer Technology, Website Design, Graphic design or related field.
-3+ years of relevant professional experience
-A strong portfolio of work
