OVALmedia is an international and engaged team of journalists, filmmakers and authors dedicated to bringing independent, topical, non-biased media coverage to the wider public. With many years of experience in documentary film production and external offices in France, Italy and Hong Kong, we are able to cover the complete process from inception through to distribution, allowing high levels of creative freedom. We are rapidly expanding and to support this growth we require the immediate assistance of a Social Media Specialist with an interest in independent media and innovative projects and a passion for new technologies.

What you'll do
-Develop, implement and optimise digital marketing strategies in collaboration with departmental heads and external consultants
-Identify our audience and increase engagement across all online channels and regions
-Analyze the long-term needs of the company and outline any necessary changes to the existing digital marketing and social media plan
-In line with brand voice, conceive, plan, and implement engaging campaigns and content to increase brand presence
-Define social media marketing goals, set and track relevant KPIs
-Interpret analytics in monthly reports to measure performance and improve results
-Helps us find the best social media management applications in order to create and schedule our social media content efficiently
-Community management of our social media channels, establishing guidelines and best-practices for the whole team
-Identify, establish and cultivate relationships with industry professionals / influencers to increase follower growth and audience engagement
-Ensure all accounts and content maintain brand integrity to strengthen reputation and increase loyalty
-Proactively update management on emerging social media trends, including developments in design, applications, strategy and innovation to stay relevant and effective
-Collaborate with administration to set and say within budget
-Hire and supervise a talented and motivated team
Skills & Experience
-In-depth understanding of traditional and emerging video hosting and social media platforms, their unique audiences and how to use them to maximise branding and marketing efforts
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and/or German (more languages including French, Italian, Spanish and/or Arabic are a huge advantage)
-Good knowledge of Digital Marketing principles and best practices, relevant KPIs, web traffic metrics and SEO
-In-depth knowledge of analytic software, content management systems and SEO tools
-Experience in audience research for different markets
-Proficiency in graphic design tools and other media processing applications
-Familiarity with publishing and web design
Qualifications
-A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, Marketing or other relevant field of study (a master’s degree in Internet Marketing is a huge plus)
-Certificate(s) in digital media, SEO or related field
-Located in Berlin or willing to relocate by beginning of March
-3+ years of experience in social media management
