Beschreibung: We are looking for an intern who would like to work as an assistant for RAM – Rebel Art Management and at roam project space in Berlin-Kreuzberg. We look for someone who has knowledge about contemporary art and interest in how the art world functions. The intern will have a variety of tasks depending on the ongoing projects. As a team, we are highly flexible and will guide you through what we have currently happening. We offer our knowledge, network and provide you experience on how to set up a professional artist studio, application work, portfolios, how to run a project space, funding, about residencies, exhibition communication and set up.

Duration: 3-6 month

Start: Any time

Commitment: Part-time (15h-20h per week)

Location: Various - roam, artist studio, home office

Compensation: No financial compensation. We will sign documents needed for you.

Requirements:
Must have health insurance eligible to live in Germany.
Must have EU residency or visa.
Must be enrolled at a university or be a recent post-graduate.

Language:
English C1
German (plus but not required)

Artist Studios
- project management: preparing, realization and postproduction of projects (gallery/institutional/project space exhibitions + events, performances)
- online communication (social media, website, newsletter)
- technical support (photo and video documentation, live stream)

- practical support

RAM
- communication and networking

roam
- setting up the curatorial program
- content preparation for social media, website
- maintaining the associations duties
- setting up yearly portfolio of projects

About us

RAM – Rebel Art Management is a Berlin based artist management company founded in 2019. The focus of RAM is international project management and setting up an independent collaborative network for artists. RAM works with independent artist studios and organises internationale, independent art events.

roam is a project space in Berlin-Kreuzberg with a residency program focusing on East European artist exchange and a changing exhibition program. As a residency space, roam invites up to four artists per year for a 1-2 month stay, one before the Gallery Weekend Berlin, one before the Art Week Berlin. The project space accommodates art shows, shorter pop-up projects screenings and networking events. roam was founded by the artist Ottjörg A.C. and RAM – Rebel Art Management in January 2021.
