Dynamic, flexible assistant sought for performer and event producer Cameryn Moore, who creates and franchises events, performance work, and workshops under the name(s) Smut Slam International / Little Black Book Productions.
Cameryn is seeking a part-time Assistant and Marketing Coordinator for approximately 15-20 hours a month, €25/hour, to be paid as a contractor for 8-10 months, with possibility of extending the contract. Actual arrangement of work hours will be jointly decided by Cameryn and the person hired. This person is preferably based in Berlin or nearby, so we can sometimes have in-person (COVID-safe) meetings.
Cameryn is currently supported in her work by co-producers, crew, and volunteers around the world. Before the pandemic, Smut Slam International produced regular storytelling open mics in 12 locations across Europe and five more around the world. Now we are working to return to that level and beyond, while still observing COVID-aware protocol for both indoor and outdoor gatherings. Little Black Book Productions is the name under which Cameryn produces curated and open-mic shows outside of Smut Slam, including YIKES! (a celebration of awkward performance) and Wholesome AF (a variety show that cares for its audience). LBBP also produces Cameryn’s critically acclaimed solo performance and theatrical works, which include Phone Whore, nerdfucker, and Muse. Cameryn’s work in theater, storytelling, and performance art is both a challenge and invitation to adventurous audiences everywhere. She is a former sex worker with strong roots in queer and fat activism, and works to create spaces that are inclusive of marginalized individuals.
Cameryn’s work is dedicated to changing at least one small part of the world, including the part that we inhabit. In her projects, she strives to keep the workspace kind and encouraging. Cameryn’s version of “showbiz” is sometimes political in nature, intense in spots, and as freeing and fun as we can make it.
