Internationally renowned Studio Tomás Saraceno is seeking a full-time, experienced DIGITAL CONTENT & SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER (m/f/d) beginning February 2023 to lead digital content creation and communications within an artist studio of more than 35 designers, architects, anthropologists, biologists, engineers, art historians, curators, and musicians working in the hybrid environment of workshop, studio, Arachnophilia research group and Aerocene community hub.
Working with the artist, a Research & Communications team of 4+ and Studio Archivist, you will define the strategy, approach and content related to the digital presence of STS, Aerocene and Arachnophilia. Responsibilities include the development, scheduling, review and delivery of high-quality, accurate and timely content across web and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, as well as studio and community websites, newsletters and apps). Working with the artist and Manager of Research and Communications you will furthermore blueprint long-term structural improvements to studio websites, social media and applications. You will establish and implement digital communications specific work plans with an understanding of current and upcoming projects, as well as the archive. You will also act as a key member of the wider studio, supporting archival matters of digital content.
Appropriate candidates will have 7+ years of experience with managing and creating digital content across a diverse range of voices and audiences with a proven ability for analytical thinking and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Excellent English editing and communication skills are a must.

General
● Blueprint long-term structural improvements to STS, Aerocene and Arachnophilia websites, social
media, newsletter and applications with the artist and Manager of Research and Communications.
● Liaise with the artist, Department Heads, and Archivist to anticipate the communications requirements for exhibitions, long-term projects, events, studio life, etc.
● Create a comprehensive calendar of website updates, social media posts and other digital
communications with a focus on timely communication of upcoming projects, as well as reviving and improving text, image and video on past projects.
● Assemble, edit and proofread texts, press and video packages for digital communications.
● Liaise with artist, R+C team and archivist for content specific review.
● Create, maintain and update a digital communications style guide.
● Track proper use of captions, acknowledgements, lender credits, and donor/sponsorship credits on
digital communications with the Manager of Research and Communications.
● Direct digital channel monitoring, creating quarterly reports measuring growth, impact and engagement.
● Correspond with institutions, exhibition partners, etc for an understanding of their digital communications strategies.
● Obtain necessary materials from third-party sources. Schedule photographers and videographers for content production.
Social Media
● Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily to the studio's social media channels, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
Websites
● Update and develop design aspects of studiotomassaraceno.org, aerocene.org and arachnophilia.net through an understanding of the artist’s vision, and with support from the Manager of Research and Communications.
● Publish content to new and existing pages, including text, image and video.
● Schedule freelance backend developers to carry out structural improvements.
Newsletter
● Assemble content for the studio, Aerocene and Arachnophilia newsletters under the guidance of the
Manager of Research and Communications.
● Build upon the communication of community programs within Aerocene and Arachnophilia to increase visibility and international engagement.
Applications
● Manage Aerocene App and Arachnomancy App updates with UI/UX designer and backend developer visual outlining proposed changes, updates through the use of Figma, or similar software.
● Implement updates with freelance backend developer(s).
About You
● 7+ years experience in contemporary art, academic research, not-for-profits or a related field, including proven hands-on experience managing and creating digital content across a diverse range of voices and audiences.
● Proven ability for critical and analytical thinking, as well as attention to detail in a fast-paced
environment.
● Ability to work independently and part of a team on a range of simultaneous projects and deadlines.
● Excellent English editing and communication skills are a must.
● Professional understanding of Wordpress and Figma.
● Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics.
● Seamless knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: lnDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.
● Flexible and committed attitude to work. You are highly motivated and able to work under pressure.
● An affinity to art, science and environmental values is a must.
